POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: HVAC Supervisor
Position Summary
The primary role of the HVAC Supervisor is to lead and oversee the successful completion of awarded HVAC projects
to continually grow the business. The HVAC Supervisor is responsible for managing manpower, project schedules and
overall operational efficiency. The HVAC Supervisor will play a key role in mentoring and training field employees,
fostering professional growth and ensuring adherence to company standards and industry best practices.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Lead, Mentor and Train HVAC field employees to enhance skill development and professional growth
- Conduct Employee Evaluations and provide constructive feedback
- Assist in hiring process by interviewing and recommending candidates
- Promote safety, efficiency and teamwork on all job sites
- Manage manpower assignments in alignment with project schedules and company priorities
- Review project scopes, blueprints and specifications to ensure successful execution
- Conduct site visits and meet with foreman to assess project progress, address challenges and ensure alignment
with project goals
- Attend job site meetings as needed to coordinate with stakeholders
- Authorize and oversee the procurement of necessary supplies for construction jobs as needed
- Manage HVAC inventory and ensure proper allocation of resources
- Oversee warranty calls and repairs, ensuring timely and effective resolutions
- Collaborate with the General Superintendent and Jobsite Supervisors to optimize project workflows
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving measures
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards across all projects
- Obtain and renew necessary licenses and inspection certifications
- Facilitation of all paperwork that accompanies work performed
- Oversee your team’s hours tracking to proper job phases – daily
- Serve as a liaison between field teams and senior management to ensure clear communication and alignment
on objectives
- Work with and assist in developing HVAC Estimator & Project Manager
- Perform all other tasks/duties as specified by management
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10-years Commercial HVAC Experience
- Minimum of 5-years management experience
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record (MVR background check)
- OSHA 10-hour training (preferred)
