Todd Ansel
Plumbing Supervisor

Todd joined Ames in 2019 as the plumbing supervisor. His experience in plumbing goes back 36 years, where he started doing mostly residential new construction. In that time Todd got some experience in almost every aspect of plumbing including service, retro, commercial and management.

Outside of work Todd is active in his church, enjoys the outdoors, especially hunting and loves spending time with his wife and children

Jan Baringer
Project Manager

Jan graduated from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology Architectural Drafting and Technology Program. He started his construction career as a cabinet installer and trim carpenter. Jan has worked as an estimator prior to becoming a project manager for Ames in 2000. Jan takes great pride in working with his clients in retail projects as well as a variety of commercial projects, those newly built and renovations.

Shane Burridge
Controller

Shane joined Ames as our controller in August 2021, arriving with 10 years of experience in corporate accounting which included significant time in both construction and distribution. He holds a BS in Accounting from Pennsylvania College of Technology and an MBA from Liberty University. An area in which he’s particularly skilled is providing various division owners with financial insights that assist in making sound business decisions.

“My goal as a Controller is to not only provide accurate financial reports, but also, advocate for each division owner by finding ways to help increase profitability. I also enjoy the constant challenge to break the status quo by looking for new and improved ways to support our growth.”

Shane and his wife Rachel live in Leola with their 3 children, Sadie, Cayden and Oliver. Outside of work he enjoys playing golf and tennis, trips to the beach and spending time with family.

Phil Eby
Director of Business Development

Phil started his construction career in high school – working summers as a carpenter for new-home builder. In 1987 he founded Eby Exteriors and spent several years installing siding and roofing as a sub-contractor. Then, after a number of years of college and working in an unrelated industry, Phil re-started Eby Exteriors and developed it into a leading exterior renovation and replacement firm, working in southeast and south-central PA. In 2019 Ames Construction purchased Eby Exteriors and brought Phil on in his current position.

Phil loves the Business Development role that enables him to focus on doing those things that he likes best including promotion, marketing and developing business relationships and strategies.

Phil and his wife Crystal are the proud parents of 2 adult daughters. He enjoys golf, tennis, hunting and following Philly sports teams.

Bruce "Buddy" Gentry
Plumbing Estimator & Project Manager

Buddy began his plumbing career in 2002 working in residential new construction, where he earned his Master Plumber status. He joined Ames Construction, Inc. in 2006 and quickly applied his expertise to the commercial plumbing division of Ames. He takes pride in producing high quality results that satisfy customers and exceeds expectations. In 2018 Buddy was promoted to the position of Plumbing Estimator & Project Manager. He is committed to his pursuit of excellence and integrity as he supervises the plumbing department at Ames. He is an active member of his church, enjoys hunting, disc golf and most importantly being a Dad.

Fred Heim
Director of Construction Management

Fred began his career with Ames in April of 2022, taking on the newly-created position of Director of Construction Management. He oversees the Construction Project Managers.

Fred has spent his entire 20-year career working in the construction industry (not counting working for his dad’s construction company in middle school and high school!). His experience includes various areas related to project management and operations.

When not working, Fred enjoys being outdoors, hunting, camping and kayaking with his wife. He’s also an avid pickleball player and likes to spend time working on home renovation projects and woodworking. He and his wife, Tiffany, have 4 children and attend LCBC Church in Ephrata.

Diana Hess
Project Manager

Diana joined Ames in October 2018 and has over 32 years in the construction industry with extensive Institutional, Retail/Restaurant Development and Healthcare experience. She began her career as an Assistant Project Manager and evolved into positions including Senior Project Manager for Starbucks Company and Director of Construction-Auntie Anne’s Inc. Diana has also worked for several notable A&D Firms in the Lancaster, Berks and York county areas. A team player, Diana holds an excellent track record of strong working relationships with owners, architects and engineers, resulting in successful construction experiences. Her strong communication and client service skills enhance Ames management philosophy.

When not at the construction site, Diana likes to spend time with her daughter, Victoria, and husband, Chuck, riding motorcycle, traveling abroad, cooking and painting.

John Hoffman Jr.
Project Manager

John joined Ames in 2024 as a project manager. A graduate of Liberty University, he brings almost 20 years of construction industry experience to Ames. Originally from Wilmington, Delaware, he now resides in Lancaster County with his wife and 5 children, ages ranging from 2 to 20. John believes that serving people is a high calling and his goal is to do his best to make our client’s needs his main priority. When John is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, serving and teaching at his local church and coaching Upward basketball.

Troy Martin
Estimator

Troy joined the Ames team in May of 2022. He brings with him 33 years of quite a variety of construction industry experience. He’s also worked outside of the construction industry in a number of roles. He’s studied at the American Graphics Institute, Omnimark Academy, and HACC.

Outside of work, Troy loves restoring cars and currently has 5 project cars he’s working on including a 56′ Chevy Truck, a ’66 Suburban, a ’67 911, a ’73 Thing and an ’89 Bronco II. He also has a cat named Kathleen.

Otis Moore
Commercial HVAC Sales Specialist

Otis joined Ames Mechanical in June of 2023 bringing 13 years of HVAC and solar sales experience. He also spent a number of years as a corporate pilot, flying throughout North America and the Caribbean. He graduated from Fayettelle-Manlius High School in Manlius NY and attended Howard University. He is certified with LEED AP Homes and is currently working toward his O&M certification.

Otis and his wife, Wendy, and their son live in Marietta, PA along with their 3-year old Australian Cattle Dog. He enjoys movies, home improvements, flight simulation, and traveling.

Nate Mullin
HVAC Supervisor

Nate began working with Ames as our HVAC supervisor in January of 2023. He has over 12 years of construction experience with expertise in both residential and commercial HVAC installations. His training/education includes graduating from ABC Keystone HVAC program, Lancaster County CTC adult evening classes for HVAC, OSHA 10 and he is EPA Universally Certified.

Nate is from Elizabethtown, PA and will soon be married. He has two daughters and one son. When he’s not working he enjoys baseball, football, cleaning (yes, that is one of his favorite things to do!), baking and spending time with his family.

Chad Texter
Vice President - Ames Mechanical Division

Chad joined the Ames Mechanical HVAC team in October of 2022, bringing with him 21 years of construction industry experience. That experience includes mechanical installations as well as a time doing service, residential sales and sales management. His role includes providing oversight to the entire Ames Mechanical Division including Plumbing & HVAC, estimating and project management, as well as the HVAC service and maintenance team.

A Warwick High School graduate, Chad also attended Shippensburg University. He completed 4-years of training with Associated Builders & Contractors and earned his Journeyman’s license.

Chad lives in Lititz, PA with his wife, Chelsey, and their son and daughter. He loves spending time with them and “passionately” cheering on the Buffalo Bills!

Scott Weaver
Project Manager

Scott came to Ames in June of 2022 having spent his entire career in the construction industry. He studied in vo-tech as well as trade school and brings experience in the electrical/mechanical trade as well as multi-family and commercial management.

Scott’s family includes his wife and daughter and when he’s not working he enjoys coaching girls’ softball, golf and fishing.

Dewey Yoder
Project Manager

Dewey started his construction career in 1994, he owned his own construction company from 2004-2014 prior to joining Ames in 2014. Dewey works with many retail clients and lends his expertise to clients such as Burlington Coat Factory, PA owned Wine & Spirit Stores and others. Dewey is a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1989-1993. We, at Ames, value and appreciate his service to our country. He enjoys hunting, fishing and most outdoor activities but most importantly spending time with his family.
