Shane Burridge
Controller

Shane joined Ames as our controller in August 2021, arriving with 10 years of experience in corporate accounting which included significant time in both construction and distribution. He holds a BS in Accounting from Pennsylvania College of Technology and an MBA from Liberty University. An area in which he’s particularly skilled is providing various division owners with financial insights that assist in making sound business decisions.

“My goal as a Controller is to not only provide accurate financial reports, but also, advocate for each division owner by finding ways to help increase profitability. I also enjoy the constant challenge to break the status quo by looking for new and improved ways to support our growth.”

Shane and his wife Rachel live in Leola with their 3 children, Sadie, Cayden and Oliver. Outside of work he enjoys playing golf and tennis, trips to the beach and spending time with family.

Phil Eby
Director of Business Development

Phil started his construction career in high school – working summers as a carpenter for new-home builder. In 1987 he founded Eby Exteriors and spent several years installing siding and roofing as a sub-contractor. Then, after a number of years of college and working in an unrelated industry, Phil re-started Eby Exteriors and developed it into a leading exterior renovation and replacement firm, working in southeast and south-central PA. In 2019 Ames Construction purchased Eby Exteriors and brought Phil on in his current position.

Phil loves the Business Development role that enables him to focus on doing those things that he likes best including promotion, marketing and developing business relationships and strategies.

Phil and his wife Crystal are the proud parents of 2 adult daughters. He enjoys golf, tennis, hunting and following Philly sports teams.

Todd Ansel
Plumbing Supervisor

Todd joined Ames in 2019 as the plumbing supervisor. His experience in plumbing goes back 36 years, where he started doing mostly residential new construction. In that time Todd got some experience in almost every aspect of plumbing including service, retro, commercial and management.

Outside of work Todd is active in his church, enjoys the outdoors, especially hunting and loves spending time with his wife and children

Dewey Yoder
Senior Project Manager

Dewey started his construction career in 1994, he owned his own construction company from 2004-2014 prior to joining Ames in 2014. Dewey works with many retail clients and lends his expertise to clients such as Burlington Coat Factory, PA owned Wine & Spirit Stores and others. Dewey is a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1989-1993. We, at Ames, value and appreciate his service to our country. He enjoys hunting, fishing and most outdoor activities but most importantly spending time with his family.

Diana Hess
Project Manager

Diana joined Ames in October 2018 and has over 32 years in the construction industry with extensive Institutional, Retail/Restaurant Development and Healthcare experience. She began her career as an Assistant Project Manager and evolved into positions including Senior Project Manager for Starbucks Company and Director of Construction-Auntie Anne’s Inc. Diana has also worked for several notable A&D Firms in the Lancaster, Berks and York county areas. A team player, Diana holds an excellent track record of strong working relationships with owners, architects and engineers, resulting in successful construction experiences. Her strong communication and client service skills enhance Ames management philosophy.

When not at the construction site, Diana likes to spend time with her daughter, Victoria, and husband, Chuck, riding motorcycle, traveling abroad, cooking and painting.

Jan Baringer
Senior Project Manager

Jan graduated from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology Architectural Drafting and Technology Program. He started his construction career as a cabinet installer and trim carpenter. Jan has worked as an estimator prior to becoming a project manager for Ames in 2000. Jan takes great pride in working with his clients in retail projects as well as a variety of commercial projects, those newly built and renovations.

John Hoffman Jr.
Project Manager

John joined Ames in 2024 as a project manager. A graduate of Liberty University, he brings almost 20 years of construction industry experience to Ames. Originally from Wilmington, Delaware, he now resides in Lancaster County with his wife and 5 children, ages ranging from 2 to 20. John believes that serving people is a high calling and his goal is to do his best to make our client’s needs his main priority. When John is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, serving and teaching at his local church and coaching Upward basketball.

Scott Weaver
Director of Estimating

Scott came to Ames in June of 2022 having spent his entire career in the construction industry. He studied in vo-tech as well as trade school and brings experience in the electrical/mechanical trade as well as multi-family and commercial management.

Scott’s family includes his wife and daughter and when he’s not working he enjoys coaching girls’ softball, golf and fishing.

Chad Texter
Vice President of Ames Mechanical

Chad joined the Ames Mechanical HVAC team in October of 2022, bringing with him 21 years of construction industry experience. That experience includes mechanical installations as well as a time doing service, residential sales and sales management. His role includes providing oversight to the entire Ames Mechanical Division including Plumbing & HVAC, estimating and project management, as well as the HVAC service and maintenance team.

A Warwick High School graduate, Chad also attended Shippensburg University. He completed 4-years of training with Associated Builders & Contractors and earned his Journeyman’s license.

Chad lives in Lititz, PA with his wife, Chelsey, and their son and daughter. He loves spending time with them and “passionately” cheering on the Buffalo Bills!
